Hawaii State Women's Golf Association

The HSWGA was formed back in April 1976 by 22 different women's golf groups who decided to promote golf for women in the state of Hawaii.  This organization was formed to also ensure that USGA handicapping standards were maintained while also promoting junior golf to encourage growth of all women's golf associations.  Many state tournaments were formed including the State Women’s Stroke Play and Women’s Match Play Championships that were established in 1977 followed by the State Women’s Senior Championship.
